Where can I park?

A large number of free parking spaces are available for garden visitors at the garden entrance. Two of these spaces are reserved for people with disabilities. Parking is at your own risk. When major events are held in the Garden, you can also park in the large parking lot by the Amphitheater.

NOTE! Please be aware that the parking lot at Den Gyldne Hane is closer to the main entrance of Geografisk Have than the parking lot at the Amphitheater and Kolding Miniby. We recommend entering the full address of the Geographical Garden: Christian 4 Vej 23, 6000 Kolding, if you’re using GPS.

Parking spaces with charging stations are available.

How do I get there on foot?

Geografisk Have is within walking distance—just 2.5 km—from Kolding Train Station and Bus Terminal. You can take bus No. 254 from the Kolding Bus Terminal or city buses No. 2 and No. 7 from Mazantigade to Agtrupvej at Christian IV’s vej.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome at Geografisk Have, but must be kept on a leash. Please be considerate of other visitors, the garden’s staff, and the animals in the garden. Remember to bring a bag. There is a watering station at the entrance.

Where can I find restrooms?

Restrooms are located at the entrance and in the building near the Herb Garden. An accessible restroom is available in the latter. There is also a nice accessible restroom in Kolding Miniby.

Is barbecuing allowed in the garden?

Due to the fire hazard, you’re not allowed to bring your own grill into the garden. However, you can rent a gas grill at the reception desk during the Geografisk Have’s opening hours. Renting a gas grill costs 300,-

Can you bring your own food?

You’re welcome to bring your own food. We’ve set up tables and benches in several natural areas specifically for this purpose.

Can I pay with MobilePay?

Yes, you can pay with MobilePay at the entrance to the Geographical Garden.

Can I rent a wagon?

Yes, you can rent a handcart at the entrance to Geografisk Have. The rental fee is 25 kr. per handcart. They can be used for children or to transport items.

Is it allowed to feed the animals?

No, guests are not allowed to feed the animals. The garden’s zookeepers take care of that, ensuring the animals receive the right food in the right amounts.

Wheelchair Users

The paths in the garden are covered with gravel or stone dust. The sloping paths in the southern section require assistance for wheelchair users. It is also possible to borrow a wheelchair with off-road wheels. Please contact the front desk at 79797000 or info@geografiskhave.dk to make a reservation.

Companions for People with Disabilities

One companion accompanying a person with a disability is admitted free of charge.
